This policy covers tonotopia.com, operated by Tonotopia LLC, a California limited liability company. Tonotopia's mobile applications have not launched. This policy will be replaced with an app-specific policy before any app is released.
What we collect
- Email address, if you choose to give it to us through a sign-up form on this site. With it we keep the date and time you signed up, the country your connection came from, and the page you signed up on. Giving us your email address is entirely optional.
- Merch orders. When you buy from our merch table, checkout runs on Shopify. Shopify takes your payment and gives us your name, email address, shipping address and what you bought, so we can fill the order. We never see or store your card number. Printful, which prints and ships each piece, receives your name and shipping address. Shopify and Printful handle this information under their own privacy policies.
- Merch code scans. When someone scans the code printed on our merch, we add one to that day's count of scans. We do not record who scanned it, their IP address or their device.
- Standard request data handled by our infrastructure provider, Cloudflare, Inc., in the course of delivering and protecting this website. This includes IP address, browser user-agent, and requested URL. Cloudflare processes this data on our behalf under its own terms.
What we do not collect
- We do not run advertising trackers, analytics pixels, or third-party marketing scripts on this site.
- This website does not set cookies. Shopify's checkout uses its own cookies while you check out.
- This website uses your microphone only if you tap one of its live demos, such as "Try your voice" or "Sing it instead". What it hears is drawn in your browser and stays on your device. It is not recorded, stored, or sent to us. This website never uses your camera.
- A few things are kept in your own browser's storage, and never reach us: your guess at the warm-up tune so the answer is there when you come back, your merch bag, and the scores and settings of the guess-the-tune game.
How we use your email address
We use it to tell you when the Tonotopia app is available and to send you occasional news about Tonotopia. If you joined our list before October 12, 2026, when our form promised a single launch email, we will send you only that email unless you tell us you would like the news as well.
Every email we send lets you unsubscribe. We do not sell, rent, or trade email addresses, and we do not share them with third parties for their own marketing.
How long we keep it
We keep your email address until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. We keep order records for as long as the law requires for tax and accounting.
Your choices
You can ask us to see, correct, or delete the information we hold about you at any time by writing to privacy@tonotopia.com. If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act gives you rights to know, delete, and correct personal information, and to not be discriminated against for exercising them. We honor those requests regardless of where you live.
Children
This website is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us information, write to us and we will delete it.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date above. If a change materially affects people on our list, we will tell them by email.
